Seersucker Day

Today is Seersucker Day in Washington, D.C. This is so awesome, I'm just speechless. I LOVE it when men wear seersucker suits in the summer. Next year I am so getting in on this. Maybe we can make it nationwide. Here's one picture; there's more, plus a story, at ABC. And some of the men were reportedly wearing pink socks! Can you stand it?!

  1. I like Warner's brown-and-white spectators. That particular pattern is a bit unusual but very attractive. It's a pity that nobody in the picture wore the red-and-white version of seersucker, which has come into vogue somewhat over the last few years.

  2. Seersucker is the kind of fabric I would have invented. I mean, its wrinkled BY DESIGN. How sweet is that!
I'm trying to spread my current invention around, the intentionally untied shoe. It hasn't really caught on outside of urban youth yet though.

  3. I love that Warner is wearing a pink shirt and red tie. He's quite dapper, bless his ancient little heart. I truly love it when old men know how to dress. Thom Browne should be taking notes.

  4. And Trent Lott is almost likable in his pink tie and white bucs.
