Life with an Aspie

I was helping Emmet get dressed one morning -- pull-on pants, no-button shirt, slip-on shoes, etc. -- when we had the following exchange: Emmet: Mom, did you know that light isn't really matter? It's really just an idea, even though it can affect matter through radiation... (continues in this vein for a while) Me: Go to the potty, Emmet; we'll talk about particle physics when you're done.

Agreed

via dSharp : LOVE this sweet video. Over six years, StoryCorps put up booths where people could interview each other about anything. This one, animated by StoryCorps, is a twelve-year-old boy with Asperger's Syndrome interviewing his mom about what it's like to raise him.
Emmet watched Judge Hatchett yesterday and tried to convince Papi that he should get a DNA test on his children. "Everybody should get a DNA test, Daddy!"
