We went to Bayou Bend Family Day on Sunday. The tulip trees were in full bloom, there were lilies of the valley, and the tulips were planted, just waiting for Spring. Fortunately, the azaleas weren't trying to make an appearance yet. I remember one year when it got unseasonably warm before Azalea Trail , and the gardeners at Bayou Bend had to run out and put bags of ice all over the beds.
