For everyone; obviously they are rather popular.

Harvard Beats Yale, 29-29
So, so charming. Loved it. I loved that, as middle-aged men, they put on their coats and ties to be interviewed at their kitchen tables.
Can you imagine being haunted by a penalty call 40 years on?
How much do I love Erik Spiekermann? "I just like looking at type. Some people get a kick out of looking at girls' bottoms..."

me: although becca evidently flipped some kids off
Papi: ?? Does she even know what that means?
me: ms. cook believed her when she said she didn't know what it means
Papi: Ms Cook believed her? Wow
me: yeah, surprisingly enough.
I said it means "I hate you" and it's very very rude
then becca wrote me a note apologizing for making the gesture to me
Papi: Ummm don't say it means I hate you, or she will start flipping everyone off.
me: yeah, but how do I explain the other? "What does 'fuck you' mean, Momma?"
Papi: good point

LOVE this sweet video.Over six years, StoryCorps put up booths where people could interview each other about anything. This one, animated by StoryCorps, is a twelve-year-old boy with Asperger's Syndrome interviewing his mom about what it's like to raise him.

This weekend Becca got to ride around on a Rhino with cousin Reilly and pick wild blackberries. [Not pictured: bare feet.]
Emmet got to shoot a pellet rifle for the first time with Grandaddy. My dad put a straight pin in the side of a cardboard box on the burn pile; Emmet hit it dead on from 35 feet. Little man's almost ready for the Royal Army -- as soon as he's not afraid to go to the bathroom by myself.

I had a great Mother's Day. Emmet brought me breakfast in bed (Pop-Tarts). I got to spend quality time with my family. Pimm's Cups plus boiled shrimp and crab bisque for lunch.
But now I know why I have to keep a blog: so I'll have proof that I did something with my children while they were young besides lie in bed eating bonbons.

We made compost cookies. [Jen, you should try these -- you make a regular cookie base (sugar, butter, eggs, flour, etc.) and add your favorite "mix-ins," some sweet and some salty. The kids chose cocoa krispies, M&Ms, Cinnamon Life, Heath bar chunks and pretzels for their cookies. Next time I might substitute Crisco for a little bit of the butter so they won't spread as much.]
Letitia made their awesome shirts.
In total, the Hello Kitty jewelry box-turned-cash register collected $22.
In the evening we went to a skating party, where Becca shook it all about.
