What mamacita is...

Reading

I can't read any more. I think I've forgotten how. I can't even read magazine articles. BLAH BLAH BLAH WORDS WORDS WORDS is all I think about when I'm reading. This was a long time coming, but the nail in the coffin was the BlackBerry [sic] Papi gave me for Christmas. On Sunday I was playing with it during the Bishop's sermon. Horrors!

I am just bored, bored, bored. [I have the same mental capacity as Eloise, now.] What's going on with you?

What are you making for the Super Bowl?

  1. I too am having low mental capacity. Couldn't finish a book for the life of me. I took a break and read just cookbooks for a while. Then I read Fool by Christopher Moore and that helped.

We're making wings for the Super Bowl, just straight up for dinner.

  2. It seems I have the attention span of a gnat these days. If I sit down long enough to read a page, my mind starts grinding about everything else I SHOULD be doing. No plans for the Superbowl, but wings sound good!

  3. Kathy! Mamacita! SGM! I was just thinking exactly the same thing as I trudged up the stairs to my room last night - gnat . . . or a rutabaga.

I'm opening a bookstore, for pity sake, and I can't read a darn thing. I made my way back to the Harry Potter series, 'cause it's easy and known and predictable. Read two paragraphs at night and fall happily asleep.

Hearing all this common resonance makes me wonder: perhaps it's a terrorist plot of some way, shape, or form . . .

I'm singing Evensong on Superbowl Sunday - guess my clergy and music director don't swing in the wing direction. Enjoy yours - Jenny
