Let's Talk Halloween

I LOVE Halloween. I've been thinking about our Halloween party since school started. I've been talking about Halloween decorations to everyone I see. Just so you know my feelings on the subject.

Because this right here? It bugs the shit out of me. Every time I drive by this house, I think about this. [DON'T click that link, Letitia.]

Is it just me? Am I being too sensitive?

  1. Wow, now I'm going to think about that photo too. It's hard to prevent this type of free association but I doubt the residents have that photo in mind. Last year at my son's school's Homecoming bonfire I had a hard time not thinking of cross burning or 9/11, but I kept reminding myself that this was just a high school bonfire with no subtext intended.

  2. I guess it's in the eye of the beholder, then. I've never had a problem with bonfires.

  3. So what happens after it rains...do these people now have a pasty gloppy mess all over their yard!? EWW! Guess the tricks on them!

  4. Well, I don't like it. Of course, I don't like Halloween, so I might be a little bit biased.

  5. Oh wow. Yeah, I've seen maybe one or 2 in a tree before but those....wow. Um, yeah. I have to agree. I always have wondered why these people if they wanted ghosts hanging from their trees didn't hang them up on Halloween Night.....at least then you wouldn't see the damn rope!

  7. Now that you mention it, I see what you're talking about. It wouldn't have occurred to me before, though.
