More Sloth on My Part

Another meme, this one from Jeff by way of Mike:

Below are “106 books of pretension,” compiled from the books most frequently marked unread by Library Thing users.

Books I’ve read are in bold; books I’ve started but haven’t finished are in italics; books I own but haven’t read are marked with an dagger (†).

Totals:
Books I've read: +/- 11
Books I've started but not finished: 9

And the total number of all these books that I own? Drumroll please.... one. And it's loaned out.

  1. You haven't read Pride and Prejudice? And with the name of your blog as it is? For shame! I'll lend you my copy. Or better yet, you can read it online.

  2. Nothing like a good book list to make me feel bad about myself. I'm ripping this post off for my blag, btw. Will credit. I too noticed Pride and Prejudice was marked unread. I know exactly what Jane Austen would do. She would come back from the dead and slap the lazy out of you! Great, now I'm going to be having dreams about zombie Jane Austen.

  3. This is great! I love this list and I too will steal for my blog and credit, mostly to see for myself how poorly I have done on this list. At first glance, I have done ok, but am really lacking in the "classics" area. Thanks for the exercise (and for populating my reading listy for the next 6 years of my life!)

  4. I'm embarrassed to admit I've read many and own most on this list. Yes, even Angela's Ashes. This just proves that I can no longer blame my boring life of my children. It appears I was boring long before their arrival.

I might steal this list as well. I may or may not give credit. ;)
