Hoping to Get Invited for a Sleepover


We should probably hate Katie Lee Joel, who is Billy Joel's child bride that he met at a bar. But she's really cute and personable, and her house, OMG. It was designed by Nate Berkus, and she gave a tour on Oprah the other day. (Here's a link -- the download is a little wonky, but so worth it.) You may remember their house because the dressing room, which is entirely covered in gold leaf, was featured in Town and Country and on a couple of blogs.

    I saw that dressing room in Town & Country and was just green with envy. I want to hate her but she just seems too nice to hate!

    Isn't Billy Joel kind of old and gross and alcoholic? That would make her kind of gold-digger-y, but everyone loves her! I must watch the vid.

    I'm sorry, I watched the Oprah. I thought she seemed like an over-excited 12 year old playing grown up. She graduated from Miami University with a friend of mine, and I think it's way gross to be with someone that much older than her.

 Reading: The Rules of Civility by Amor Towles. I didn't like it nearly as much as A Gentleman in Moscow . In fact, I liked it only barely enough to keep reading. Watching: Poker Face , on Peacock. Papi and I have enjoyed watching this, one episode at a time, and not every day. It's a little formulaic, but the sets and the guest stars are fun. I like that it changes scenery every episode. Listening to: The Beatles Channel, Sirius XM. Ever since watching Get Back , the Beatles documentary, I've enjoyed listening to them with new ears.
