Drink of the Week: Lambic

I'm keeping it simple this week with a bottle of lambic. According to Wikipedia there are several different types of lambic, but unless you're in Belgium, you only need to know about the fruit lambics.

[Yes, Virginia, there is a fruity beer. And while it still won't win you any points for drinking a "real" drink, it will, in fact, taste good and be alcoholic. You win.]

My personal favorite is Framboise (raspberry). Other varieties you might easily find include Kriek (sour cherry), Cassis (black currant), and Peche (peach).

    Framboise Lambic is my favorite. Everyone I introduce it to loves it too. Delicious, I want a glass right now!

    Woohoo! Lambic is awesome. Especially when purchased at the corner bodega to take to the cheap Pakistani restaurant across the street :)

    Mmmm, I LOVE Lambic! It's like an alcoholic version of a fruity Calistoga.

    Lambic can kick your ass if you're not careful. Goes down easy and has a high alcohol content.... mmmmmm good.

Be Awesome for Halloween

Reading/ Watching/ Listening

 Reading: The Rules of Civility by Amor Towles. I didn't like it nearly as much as A Gentleman in Moscow . In fact, I liked it only barely enough to keep reading. Watching: Poker Face , on Peacock. Papi and I have enjoyed watching this, one episode at a time, and not every day. It's a little formulaic, but the sets and the guest stars are fun. I like that it changes scenery every episode. Listening to: The Beatles Channel, Sirius XM. Ever since watching Get Back , the Beatles documentary, I've enjoyed listening to them with new ears.
